Pastor Bill Holdridge…

Growing up there are great memories you cling to of your childhood and growing up in a great church. Sitting in the pews as a teenager at Calvary Chapel Monterey bay, I had the privilege to hear Pastor Bill Holdridge week in and out. It is amazing how years later there are still words and truths that ring from the pulpit even to this day…Thank you Bill for continuing to share the word of the Lord and shape minds over many great years…may the Lord richly bless your and the ministries in which you endeavor.

I became a follower of Jesus Christ in August of 1973. Since then, my life has never been the same.

Soon after my commitment to Christ (which was totally because He had already committed to me through His death, burial, and resurrection from the dead), the Lord called me into ministry. I didn’t know what that meant at first, but eventually it became apparent to me that He was calling me to be a pastor-teacher.

It is in that capacity that I have served Him for the past 35 1/2  years … not perfectly, but hopefully authentically. I thank Him for His amazing grace.

Currently, I serve as a support pastor of Calvary Chapel of Santa Cruz, and also within a ministry we started in 2007 called Poimen Ministries (www.poimenministries.com). At the end of May in 2009, I finished up a seven month interim role with St. Helena Community Church, in St. Helena, CA just above Napa.
